FCWT Junior Golf Tour Releases Its 2011-2012 Schedule

The FCWT enters its 15th season of conducting junior golf tournaments across the United States

CLEARWATER, Fla., Sept. 27, 2011 — The Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT), which conducts nationally ranked junior golf tournaments for young men and women ages 11-19 throughout the fall, winter and spring, announces its 2011-2012 tournament schedule. FCWT tournaments for junior golfers are scheduled at the following PGA Tour venues: Cog Hill Golf and Country Club (October 22-23, 2011), Innisbrook (October 29-30, 2011), TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course (December 29-30, 2011), PGA West (December 30-31, 2011) and PGA National (May 26-28, 2012), the site of the season-ending FCWT Tour Championship.

The FCWT also provides junior golfers an opportunity to play at some well-known college courses, including the Warren Golf Club at Notre Dame, the Kampen Course at Purdue University, the Arizona State University Karsten Golf Course, the Duke University Golf Club, and the Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida. In the spring the FCWT will conduct an event at the University of New Mexico Championship Course.

The 2011-2012 FCWT tournament season will kick off on October 1-2, 2011, at TPC Tampa Bay and at the Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame. For those who like to play during the holiday breaks there are events over the Thanksgiving holiday at the Champions Gate Resort in Orlando, Florida, and at the Omni Tucson in Arizona. In December, in addition to the Sawgrass event, the FCWT will conduct junior golf tournaments at the Grayhawk Raptor Course in AZ, December 22-23, and the TPC Las Vegas Course in NV, December 27-28. Play continues in January and February with tournaments in Florida (Black Diamond Ranch, Reunion Resort, Black Bear, Mission Inn Resort, Inverrary, Doral, and Plantation), California (Bayonet & Black Horse, Sandpiper Golf Club, and Classic Club), and Arizona (Wigwam).

Spring Break often brings junior golfers from the colder states to Florida to play at the Saddlebrook Resort or at Bridgewater in March. Players on the West Coast can enjoy La Costa and Mission Hills, while those in the mid-Atlantic can play at Tanglewood in NC. April warmth brings events further north with tournaments at Red Tail in MA and Yankee Trace in OH. The regular season ends in early May at Feather Sound in FL and Whistling Straits in WI.

For those non-members who would like to try an FCWT junior golf tournament, there are opportunities at the Purdue and Castle Pines events. Details are on our website.
