Most Experienced Gemological Consultant and Former U.S. Navy SEAL Available for High-Risk Gemstone-Related Assignments

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 10, 2011 — Senior Gemologist Ralph Morgan, G.G. is a respected, highly effective individual who has spent much of his life risking his own welfare and reputation for gemstone clients throughout the world.

Morgan is a well-travelled former U.S. Navy SEAL. He is an expert on ruby, sapphire and antique jewelry and fancy colored diamonds. His ability to seek out the rare and unusual in the world of the gem collector is uncanny.

Being tasked by fellow Graduate Gemologists, oil companies and private individuals he has protected clients and assisted them on their excursions into often hostile environments over the last 19 years.

After being honorably discharged from SEAL Team Four in Little Creek, Virginia in February 1986 Ralph "Lish" Morgan began his studies at the Gemological Institute of America the following year. In November of 1992 he took his first trip abroad as a consultant to Central Asian gem suppliers. He has since travelled for rough diamonds in both Africa and South America as well as rubies and sapphires in Sri Lanka. When home in the U.S. he assists fellow gemologists, jewelers and private individuals with procuring the higher-than-usual market prices he typically obtains for them due to the international connections he maintains.

He has performed numerous charitable fundraising events, including appraisal programs for libraries, museums, women's groups and the Settlement Home for disadvantaged and abused teenage girls in Texas. He is a past governing board member of the Accredited Gemologists Association of America as well as a senior member of the same.

He is always interested in sharing his love of travel and gemstone knowledge. Due to a frequent travel schedule he can be reached locally and internationally at email address Email where one may also request communication with him by telephone.
