Exit Planning Institute Opens a Chapter Down Under

CHICAGO, March 17, 2011 — The Exit Planning Institute® (EPI) is pleased to announce the formation of an EPI chapter in Australia and New Zealand. With over 3 million privately owned businesses, Australia and New Zealand, like the United States, have a tremendous need for exit planning services.

The Australia and New Zealand Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute will offer two Certified Exit Planning Advisor programs per year beginning with its first CEPA program this July. It will begin accepting membership applications in April.

"I am very pleased to be involved in the formation of the EPI USA Australia and New Zealand Chapter," says Chapter Founder Craig West. "Businesses here need specialist help in planning their exit and the research tells us they are not currently getting that help. The formation of this chapter will allow business owners to source experts across the professional adviser community, who have the latest skills and research in exit and succession planning."

EPI is very proud to partner with Craig West to form and operate the chapter. Craig is one of the leading authorities on exit planning in Australia. Craig is a CPA who has been advising business owners for over 15 years. As a strategic accountant, Craig founded and is CEO of Succession Plus, a specialized advisory practice that focuses exclusively on exit planning. Craig is the author of three critically acclaimed books for business owners on employee incentives, succession planning and asset protection. He is in the process of editing an Australian edition of the $10 Trillion Opportunity that will be published this fall.

Craig is a sought-after public speaker and a true advocate of exit planning. He gives about 30 presentations per year on exit planning topics. Craig has appeared as an expert adviser with a weekly segment on the Alan Jones breakfast radio program in Sydney and was a founding member of Thought Leaders.

Crain earned his bachelor's degree in business from Charles Stuart University and dual master's degrees in accounting and finance, and business, from the Charles Stuart University and the University of Technology, Sydney, respectively. Craig is also in the process of completing a PhD in Business Succession Planning at Deakin University in Melbourne.
