Energy Inspectors Earns Fourth Consecutive National Award for Protecting the Environment Through Energy Efficiency
WASHINGTON, March 9, 2010 — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has named Energy Inspectors Corporation as a 2010 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for its outstanding contributions to residential energy efficiency resulting in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by millions of pounds annually, and saving millions of kilowatt hours of energy annually through its work as a Home Energy Rating company. Energy Inspector's accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., on March 18, 2010.
Energy Inspectors, an ENERGY STAR partner since 1999, is being honored for their work in qualifying new homes to earn the ENERGY STAR label. Home Energy Raters provide the evaluation, testing, and independent verification required for ENERGY STAR qualified homes. Currently more than 8500 builders across the nation are constructing homes that meet EPA's strict guidelines for energy efficiency. Last year alone Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved $17 billion on their energy bills and reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those of 30 million vehicles.
