Enmetric Systems Enters into Partnership with the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado

BELMONT, Calif., Sept. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Enmetric Systems, Inc., a leading enterprise Internet of Things (IoT) company, announced that it has been selected to monitor and control all plug loads at the 106-year-old multi-tenant Alliance Center in Lower Downtown Colorado.  As part of this engagement, Enmetric has entered into a partnership with the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado, US Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL), Johnson Controls, Inc, and others to develop a tool to measure KBTU per capita. In addition to creating transparency with respect to energy use per dollar of economic output, Enmetric Systems' platform will allow building owners/property managers to measure seat and room occupancy real time and longitudinally – allowing then to see what parts of the building are being used, where culture shifting is needed and over time optimize floor plate use. This IoT & data analytics solution will also allow commercial real property managers and owners to analyze building space utilization and maximize floor plate revenue.

Enmetric Systems platform enables large enterprises to monitor, control and manage individual plug-load devices. This includes workstation electronics (printers, computers, monitors, task lamps, phone chargers, etc.), shared enterprise electronics (e.g. printers, copiers), as well as kitchen devices (vending machines, coffee makers, water coolers, etc.).  Notably, plug loads account for on the order of 25% to 50% of total electricity consumed within office buildings.

"We are very excited to be working with the Alliance Center on this project," said Walter Shimoon, Vice President at Enmetric Systems. "This is a great opportunity for Enmetric to continue our work with Johnson Controls, our newest strategic partner, on developing new and innovative ways to reduce energy through IoT technologies."

Enmetric provides innovative Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for commercial environments.  The company's core application — plug load manager – is built on a cloud-based data analytics platform and saves companies on the order of 10% to 20% in total annual energy costs. Enmetric's cloud-based network manages over 2 terabytes of data per month.

"Enmetric has developed the absolute best solution we have seen to monitor and manage building wide plug load. In addition to helping us trim our largest energy use, Enmetric technology provides us with previously unavailable insight into space utilization. We are very excited to roll out Enmetric technology throughout our 106-year-old, 40,000 sq. ft. multi-tenant building," said, Jeff Hohensee, Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado.  "Enmetric's platform and the data it produces is a key component in the development of our tool to measure KBTU per capita and we are excited to partner with them."

Enmetric is focused on delivering its enterprise energy management solutions to customers in several key market verticals, including: Information Technology, Healthcare & Big Pharma, Construction Development, Building Management and the Government-Public sector.
