SAN FRANCISCO, April 13, 2011 — Environmental Management Planning Solutions, Inc. (EMPSi) has been awarded Environmental Business Journal's Business Achievement Gold Medal award for environmental consulting. EMPSi doubled its revenues in 2010, due in large part to a rapid expansion in the clean energy sector.

Projects for the year included fast-tracked environmental compliance and permitting for renewable energy projects on projects expected to generate over 2,000 MW of power. Project wins in 2010 included the Bureau of Land Management's high-profile Restoration Design Energy Program in Arizona, which will develop policy for renewable energy siting and development on federal lands, and the permitting and supporting for transmission lines and wind, geothermal and solar renewable energy projects, including a utility-scale solar PV facility that will be the largest in the United States.
