For the eighth consecutive year, EmployeeScreenIQ made Workforce's "Hot List" of background checking providers, which was published in the magazine's September edition.

"This distinction validates our 'No Shortcuts' approach to background checks," said Nick Fishman, EmployeeScreenIQ Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. "It shows the elements that make up our approach—a focus on compliance and best practices, our constant endeavor to provide the most thorough and accurate screening possible, and a commitment to unmatched customer service—are noticed and valued."

EmployeeScreenIQ is one of 19 providers to earn a spot on the "Hot List." It further distinguishes itself by being accredited by the National Association of Professional Background Screeners, an achievement accomplished by less than two percent of screening companies.

The company was also highlighted in Workforce's special report on the background screening industry that accompanied the "Hot List." The report examined key results from EmployeeScreenIQ's annual survey of hundreds of individuals representing a wide range of industries, functional areas and management levels, including:

  • Compliance was the top background screening challenge for 51 percent of respondents, beating out all other challenges by a wide margin.
  • While federal law requires the sending of Pre-Adverse Action and Adverse Action letters when employers find a discrepancy that would prevent a candidate from being hired, only 42 percent of companies said they send both letters—and 35 percent don't send any.

"The survey results only serve to highlight the importance of using a top background screening company that will help you navigate the compliance challenges associated with background checks," Fishman said.
