The Z-Vent's are direct replacements for standard home forced air vents and are available in several sizes, and in two colors. These wireless controlled vents make energy management, and energy savings, simple and affordable. Any computer or smart phone can be used to control and manage the opening and closing of the vents, from anywhere internet access is available.

When used with a standard Z-Wave home automation system, the wireless Z-Vent allows direct control of heating or AC air flow to specific rooms in a home. When properly configured, the Z-Vent Energy Management System can reduce energy cost by 20% or more. Configuration options include the combination of occupancy schedules, activity sensors and temperature sensors. A simple example of an energy saving configuration would limit forced air flow in unoccupied rooms on a schedule. The bedroom airflow would automatically cut off when the room is empty during the day and the living area of home would have full air flow. The reverse vent control schedule would apply overnight when the bedrooms where occupied.
The Z-Vents are available individually or as a starter 3 pack kit that includes a Z-Wave controller. The kits allow users a quick and simple start-up using preprogrammed samples in the Z-Wave controller. The Z-Vents have a removable control module for convenient configuration and paring (inclusion) to Z-Wave controller network or gateway. The Z-Vent is compatible with most Z-Wave Controllers and Z-Wave Software. The standard vent sizes available are 4" x 10", 4" x 12", 6" x 10" and 6" x 12". Other sizes of 2" x 12" and 3" x 10" will be released to production soon. The grill of the vent is steel painted white or brown with the powered vent louvers and case assembly made of heavy duty plastic.
