ecoATM Introduces Tom Tullie as New CEO

Additionally announces winning Coinstar's Next Big Idea contest

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 19, 2009 — ecoATM, the only company to provide automated systems for recycling electronics, announced today that Tom Tullie has accepted the positions of Chairman, President and CEO. Additionally, the company announced that it won Coinstar's Next Big Idea contest and was awarded a $10,000 prize presented from Coinstar to ecoATM at a ceremony in New York City November 10.

Before joining ecoATM, Mr. Tullie was CEO of Vativ Technologies, a leading provider of advanced DSP-based semiconductor communications solutions, and before that, Path 1 Network Technologies, a leading provider of IP video transport products to broadcasters, satellite operators, cable multi-system operators (MSOs), and telecom operators. He has a proven track record of successfully building leading-edge technology companies, as evidenced by his success as Chief Operating Officer of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC), a broad-based provider of integrated circuits and printed circuit board assemblies for a range of optical transport, switching, routing and storage networking solutions. During his tenure at AMCC, Mr. Tullie also led the company's sales, marketing and operations organizations, including building AMCC's International channels of sales and distribution; he was also General Manager of the Communications Division.

"ecoATM has an exciting and unique business model which provides lasting benefit to retailers, consumers and the environment," said Mr. Tullie. "I look forward to working with Mark and the team to propel the company towards achieving its maximum potential."

In related management changes, founder and CEO Mark Bowles will transition to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) responsible for strategy, innovation and business development. Eric Rosser, formerly Vice President, Sales and Marketing, will move to a full-time focus on sales.

Mr. Bowles said, "Anyone who has worked with Tom Tullie, as I have in the past, understands the intense focus and leadership he brings to an organization. We are delighted he has agreed to take the helm as we ramp into the next phase."

Coinstar's Next Big Idea Award

Coinstar evaluated qualified entries to the Next Big Idea contest based on, among other things, the best solution for a consumer and/or retailer, potential market size and growth, originality and practicality. Mark Bowles, founder and CMO of ecoATM, accepted Coinstar's $10,000 award during a ceremony at the KioskCom self-service expo event held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, N.Y. "ecoATM addresses a unique consumer, retailer, and environmental problem, and this recognition by Coinstar is a great honor and a validation of our concept," said Mr. Bowles.
