Data Conversion Laboratory Continues Run of Growth by Winning Complex Projects and Partnerships in a Variety of Business Sectors

DCL broke new ground for the company with key projects in 2015 and into 2016. With clients spanning the US prison system to a world-famous technical university, DCL is more than living up to its 30-plus years of reputation as a true innovator in data conversion.

  • Elsevier – DCL continued its partnership with Elsevier, an academic publisher of medical and scientific literature, with the second phase of the Scopus Cited References Expansion Program. To date, DCL has converted and enriched 3.7 million Elsevier, American Physical Society (APS) and Springer articles. The second phase of the project is focused on converting millions of records from premier journal publishers such as the Institute of Physics (IOP) and Wiley-Blackwell.
  • AGCO This global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural equipment worked with DCL to convert over 70,000 pages to DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture).
  • MIT Press – DCL is MIT Press's 'go-to' vendor for converting complex material, accurately and on schedule. DCL converted some of MIT Press's most significant reference books – foundational works in the cognitive sciences, representing the works of some of the leading thinkers in the world.
  • American Prison Data Systems (APDS) – Using DCL's planning and conversion expertise, APDS can now deliver more engaging training content to trainees, as they need it, through a mobile Learning Management (LMS) portal, providing substantial cost savings to their client (NYC Department of Corrections) in time and resources.
  • United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) – DCL automatically and continually delivered over 1,000,000 XML pages every month in a modernization of all of the USPTO's patent examination tools.
  • SAE International –DCL teamed up with SAE for the ongoing conversion to XML format of hundreds of thousands of pages of technical and standards documents.
  • ESI Laboratory (ESILAB)– DCL partnered with ESILAB, a new member of the DCL Group, to create Production Analyzer, a ground-breaking software application that provides lawyers and litigation support professionals with the ability to quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively find every redaction in any image-based eDiscovery production.
  • St. Francis College – DCL digitized the massive archives of the late Frank Macchiarola, former president (1996-2008) and Chancellor (2008-2012) of St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights, NY.
  • Bowker –DCL and Bowker, the official US ISBN agency and world leader in bibliographic information management solutions, teamed up to offer better services to self-publishers. Working with DCL, Bowker can now offer self-publishers DCL's robust EPUB on Demand eBook Product Service through their MyIdentifiers.com website.

Naveh Greenberg has been named Director, Defense Development after more than 12 years as Project Manager, guiding numerous DCL clients through complex conversion initiatives. He has a proven track record of focusing on the customer, communicating complex technical information to the layperson, and paying close attention to detail, to deliver comprehensive solutions for conversion and content management. His defense clients continue to benefit from his deep technical expertise and highly approachable demeanor.

Greg Fagan, Sales Director, brings 20 years' experience and deep knowledge of publishing and technology to bear on addressing the needs of customers in the financial and publishing sectors. With production, editorial, technology and business development experience, he harnesses this knowledge to deliver projects that meet client needs and support clients throughout the process with a calm, direct communications style.

Joseph Mandour, Sales Director, is a US Army Veteran, a graduate of the American Military University, and has worked as a program manager in the US Army and as an advisor in the US State Department. After leaving government service, he worked for government contractors selling to the Federal space.
