Data Conversion Laboratory Certified as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB)

FRESH MEADOWS, N.Y., Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Data Conversion Laboratory, Inc. (DCL), for 35 years an industry leader in organizing, converting and enhancing content into digital formats, is proud to be officially certified as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) by the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC), the first national certifier of Women Business Enterprises.

"NWBOC seeks to increase the ability of women business owners to compete for corporate and government contracts," said Janet Harris-Lange, President of NWBOC. DCL pursued this certification because it aligns with the company's belief that fairness and diversity is essential to the success and health of small businesses and the country in general.

"Our certification within the program allows corporate, federal and other government entities to more easily fulfill their diversity goals when contracting for the electronic document services at which DCL excels – scanning, conversion, office and library digitization, XML, and metadata extraction and development," said Judy Gross, DCL Founder, Owner, Chairman of the Board and Chief Financial Officer. "This program enables us to more effectively compete for government contracts, develop relationships with larger companies, and to create opportunities for future partnerships. This is great news as we approach our 35th anniversary."

Judy Gross, an early leader in women-owned technology businesses, started DCL in 1981 as a consulting firm, and since then has helped it grow into a recognized leader in data conversion. DCL is proud to be recognized as a woman-owned business; it is worth noting that the company's executive team also includes Chief Operating Officer Amy Williams, and Chief Information Officer Tammy Bilitzky.

This certification is emblematic of the decades of service it took DCL to build itself as the most trusted company of its kind. This accomplishment is another winning addition to DCL's history, not only for the certification but also because it is proud to be aligned with a forward-thinking organization like NWBOC.
