Are Dallas Hotels Shifting Hospitality's Guest Strategies?

The Warwick Melrose Hotel, Dallas makes strategic mobile technology decision, influencing the area's recent trend of hotel digital concierge services.

DALLAS and OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The luxury hotel Warwick Melrose is the next Dallas hotel to roll out a new digital guest-facing strategy using cloud technology that's known to effectively save thousands of dollars annually. With 70% of travelers booking rooms based on a hotel's digital experience, the Warwick Melrose will partner with technology firm Monscierge to reach travelers from the planning stage of a trip and remain in contact with guests to offer services throughout the entire journey. Monscierge is currently the only hospitality technology firm to have the software functionality for staff to manage digital signage, mobile applications, SMS messaging and a hotel's website from one dashboard.

"Our hotel caters to a distinct and loyal client base, and we want to arm our staff with the ability to continue to meet our guests' needs – whether it's face-to-face, through digital signage in the lobby or via a text message request. We were not comfortable implementing this type of strategy until finding and testing Monscierge's centralized software. With this, we can manage everything in one place, so we don't miss any communication coming from the guests." – Malory Citek, Director of Front Office, Warwick Melrose Hotel, Dallas.

A venue regularly catering to meetings and conference events, the Warwick Melrose is looking to use their new Monscierge digital platform to provide clients with specific functionality for meeting planners, as well as private mobile app calendars, maps and requests functionality, a website for event organizers and scheduling tools.

"We routinely host conferences for several industries that want their event to come off as seamless, and having the option for guests to communicate with staff using our mobile app or their phone's text functionality is ideal. Including a meeting planning function so our clients do not incur an added expense from another vendor is game-changing." — Larry McAfee, General Manager, Warwick Melrose Hotel, Dallas.

Monscierge recently revealed new products available to hospitality, including a web platform for guests wanting to connect to the hotel using laptops and a new feature to their Content Management System (CMS) that allows a brand to have individual properties sign-up for services, eliminating the tedious execution of standardizing brand-wide technology.

"We make guest technology easy, elegant and affordable because it's not just about the guest expectation to us – it's about the whole experience of hospitality, from the hotel staff up to the corporate finance team.  We are excited to work with a progressive, luxury brand like Warwick." — Elizabeth Robinson, Guest Engagement, Monscierge.

The Warwick Melrose Hotel, Dallas and Monscierge began implementing the new strategy this month as the hotel also begins construction in January to enhance guest services with additional on-site amenities.
