SEATTLE, Nov. 8, 2010 — Cor.kz Wine Info, the leading wine application for mobile devices, has released a major update for its iOS application.
The new version, a free upgrade for existing users, brings a new "compare wines" feature, iPad compatibility, iPhone4 optimized graphics, improved Facebook and Twitter integration, wine club write-ups of wines where available, and significant usability and graphic refinements across the entire application.
Cor.kz 3.0 allows users to compare several wines they are considering purchasing by assembling a comparison list, and then viewing the wines side-by-side, including critics' and community ratings, average retail pricing, regional and varietal data, and recommended drinking windows. In addition, Cor.kz 3.0 offers the one-click ability to get that same comparison chart for multiple vintages of a single wine – users will never again have to wonder whether to pick up the 2005 or the 2006.
Even before this latest release, Cor.kz was named a "Top 5 Wine App" by VinTank/PalatePress, the best wine app by Bob Tedeschi of The New York Times, and one of Fast Company Magazine's "25 Must Have Apps." Cor.kz is also the only iOS application to integrate RedLaser's bar code scanning feature on devices with cameras, making it easy to look up information on most wines just by scanning their bar codes.
