NEW YORK, Aug. 25, 2009 — Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj has been named one of "America's Top Surgeons" for 2009 by the Consumers' Research Council of America, an independent Washington, D.C.-based research organization that provides information guides for consumers of professional services throughout the United States. This is the second time that Dr. Slupchynskyj has been selected by the Council. He was also chosen in 2007.
The Consumers' Research Council of America compiled the list of top surgeons by using a point value system. The criteria include experience, training, education, professional associations and board certifications. No fees, donations, sponsorships or advertising are accepted to ensure an unbiased selection.
Slupchynskyj is the Director and Founder of The Aesthetic Facial Surgery Institute of New York and New Jersey with offices in Manhattan and West Orange. In private practice for over 10 years, he is double board-certified through the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology with training specific to the head, neck and face. Born and raised in Manhattan, Slupchynskyj attended medical school at New York Medical College, conducted his General Surgery residency at St. Vincent's Hospital, his Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and completed his Fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Rochester. He is a member of the following Societies: American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Academy of Otolaryngology, New York County Medical Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology Allergy, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
