New Collection of Poetry Explores Nature, Love, Destiny

Ray Miot Artfully Brings Together a Collection of Impressions of the World, Human Emotion

VERDUN, Quebec, Oct. 7, 2009 — In his eloquent new collection of poetry, "Poems of Moss and Water" (published by AuthorHouse), Ray Miot plumbs the depths of nature, love and destiny, revealing filigree impressions on the world and human emotion.

Wrapping beauty and horror in an evocative mix of words and images, "Poems of Moss and Water" offers a message of love, mutual understanding and peace in a war-torn, despairing world. Miot's grasp of language to evoke intriguing images is evident in poems such as the one featured below, "Sensuality in Arpeggio":

It was an umbrella day
your breasts draped with silk
pointed up the clouds
you were frightened at thunder
Whichever the cloth you mold
the fragrance of your smile elates
Sensuality in arpeggio
The nectar of your lips
Oh! Divine fruit
I would sin a hundred times
to bite a morsel of moon
On a couch of roses
you are coming to me
you, my life
the love cover of my dreams
and of my bed of moss
Sensuality in arpeggio

"Poems of Moss and Water" presents a thoughtful, life-enhancing collection of poetry that will surely invigorate readers' perception of the world around them.

Ray Miot was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in 1950. From an early age he has indulged in his passion for poetry.
