Clearwater's Premium Eyewear Boutique Hosts Grand Opening Celebration

The Eye Shop invites Florida friends and neighbors to celebrate a retail destination unlike any other

CLEARWATER, Fla., Feb. 27, 2012 — You have to see it to believe it. The Eye Shop, a brand new, edgy destination for stylish prescription eyewear in the heart of downtown Clearwater, Fla. is anything but an optical illusion. Super hip, to say the least, the boutique is clean and sleek, thanks to a fresh, modern interior design in blue, orange, white and yellow that supports the main attraction: a serious collection of fashionable frames and prescription lenses. And that's just one of the reasons why Pamela Rowan, The Eye Shop's owner and operator, is hosting a grand opening event from 5-8 p.m. on March 15, 2012 at 432 Cleveland St.

"This store is a dream come true and deserves a real celebration," Rowan says. "It's unlike any other eyewear retail venue, particularly in our area. No longer will our Clearwater neighbors and friends need to drive outside the city to find what they need or to experience a quality of service that they deserve."

The grand opening is free to the public and will feature great giveaways, fun promotions, plus fabulous food and drink from local eateries. At 5 p.m., the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce will mark the Eye Shop's official debut with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Throughout the evening, frame reps will be on hand to advise about their sunglasses and eyeglasses. Rowan will also be available to meet and greet the public and welcome special guests. Joining her will be her husband and business partner, Dr. Cary Rowan, Eye Shop's surgical consultant.

Currently, Dr. Rowan is also the owner of the Rowan Eye Center of New Port Richey, where Pamela Rowan worked for 10 years as the administrator. As a team, the two have now leveraged their professional skills and natural talents to create the Eye Shop, the first-ever downtown Clearwater eyewear boutique.

"Finally, our community has a premium business that offers extreme value and quality without compromising critical, competitive pricing," Pamela Rowan says. "With the Eye Shop, we'll have it all — knowledgeable, experienced doctors and staff, cutting-edge optical technology, and a comfortable yet classy retail experience."

A special feature of the March 15 grand opening will be an opportunity to give back to the community. Eye Shop invites guests to drop off old prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses during the event. Eye Shop will donate them to the Lion's Club, which will recycle the glasses for use by needy individuals. For more information, call Eye Shop at 727-755-EYES or visitwww.eyeshopdowntown.com.
