NEW YORK, Feb. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The Chartered Insurance Operations Professional (CIOP) Institute is pleased to announce the insurance professionals who have successfully attained their Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) designation as members of the Insurance LSSBB Class of 2014.
Lean Six Sigma is a framework that adopts and integrates several methodologies including Lean Production, Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma and Agile to optimize the speed of transacting business – while removing costs in a sustainable manner. The immediate benefits of Lean Six Sigma are dramatic. Waste in all its forms is identified and purged. Lead times are greatly compressed. Productivity increases in a quantum fashion. Wait times are mitigated as process velocities accelerate and flow time efficiencies increase. Defects and rework are prevented. Cash flow accelerates. The customer experience is enhanced sharply and profitability improves as the business expands at a faster pace. Perhaps most importantly Lean Six Sigma frees insurance knowledge workers, such as underwriters, adjusters and case workers, to focus on the work that creates the greatest value.
Philip Mondanaro, a spokesperson for the CIOP Institute and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt insurance instructor, shared "that the demand for experienced insurance professionals and leaders who are certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt practitioners far outstrips the supply of qualified talent. To help close this critical talent gap, the CIOP Institute has developed a respective professional development program that is both rigorous in content and practical in its focus on insurance." During the LSSBB Designation Class concepts, tools and techniques are comprehensively covered through dynamic and interactive instructor lead tutorials. The tutorial content is then brought to life through actual insurance industry case studies and examples. In this manner, knowledge and understanding is quickly conveyed resulting in a set of insights and powerful toolkit attendees can immediately apply to the benefit of their organizations. Following their LSSBB Designation Class candidates have 150 days to complete their Exam Project – which is designed to enable candidates to reinforce Lean Six Sigma disciplines and techniques within their own current work context.
The 2015 Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Designation Class will be held May 4th – May 6th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel and Conference Center in New York City. More information regarding the LSSBB Designation Program including course curricula, conference brochure and registration forms are available at www.ciopinstitute.com or by calling the CIOP Institute at 866.930.CIOP.
Please join us in congratulating those candidates of the Class of 2014 who have successfully attained their Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Designations
