Chaordix(TM) Announces It Will Bring Innovation Program to Universities

Students and educators seeking to understand how best to apply crowdsourcing for open innovation will benefit from new Chaordix program in development

CALGARY, Alberta, April 22, 2010 — ChaordixTM, a provider of managed crowdsourcing communities, today announced the launch of the Chaordix-In-Classroom Educator program to provide open innovation technology and workshops to educators.

"As crowdsourcing gains acceptance as a vital way for organizations to relate to their markets and audiences, it is becoming essential for future leaders to understand how to use this new method of social research and open innovation," said Shelley Kuipers, president and chief executive officer at Chaordix. "We decided there's no better way to support future generations of entrepreneurs, engineers, business leaders, technologists and marketers than offering our capabilities to classrooms of universities and other education institutions worldwide."

Chaordix is inviting in Founding Partners to help craft the program and ensure that it is relevant and valuable for both instructors and students. Already, the National University of Singapore has signed on as a partner, and there is interest from schools across North America, Europe and the Middle East.

More than 20 percent of demand for Chaordix crowdsourcing capabilities comes from universities researching the sociology and science of crowdsourcing, or seeking access to technology to prepare students for new methods of research and business for open innovation.

Leading organizations like IBM, PwC, Procter & Gamble, and Pepsi demonstrate the value of getting crowds of employees, consumers, or partners involved in product and service development, brand creative, and social research on market preference and trends. World-leading science and philanthropic organizations are applying crowdsourcing to achieve breakthroughs in health, energy funding and global development.
