The theme of the conference will be Population Health.

As the healthcare system in the United States is reformed, providers across the system are focusing more on the health of entire populations, as well as that of individuals. Improved Information Technology is enabling the capture and use of more data about the health of populations than ever before.

There will be General and Breakout sessions throughout the day, taking up the themes of Data Analytics and Population Health management. The Keynote session will look at the "big data" implications of IBM's acquisition of Cleveland-based healthcare intelligence company Explorys. The program concludes with a CIO forum with participants from Premier Health Partners, Kettering Health Network, and Dayton Children's Hospital.

Among those leading breakout sessions will be Dr. Amy Mechley from the Christ Hospital Network, JD Whitlock of Mercy Health, and Steve Motil from Kettering Health Network.

Scott Mash, President of CSOHIMSS, said, "We are very pleased to bring our Fall Conference to western Ohio, especially to the Dayton area. Our conferences are a tremendous, cost-effective way to provide development opportunities to Health Information Technology professionals. This conference is THE conference on Population Health for our entire region. Attendees will benefit from sharing their own experiences with one another, and from interacting with speakers who are at the leading edge of the Population Health revolution."
