CBI Keynote Speakers on Cover of Time Magazine

WOBURN, Mass., May 20, 2011 — Two CBI faculty alumni were recently honored in Time Magazine's "The World's Most Influential People" special edition, May 2, 2011. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin were both on the cover of Time Magazine. CBI produces over 100 conferences annually for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and healthcare companies.

Governor Christie gave the opening address at CBI's Annual Fee-for-Service and Trade Conference in 2009. Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin was the keynote speaker at CBI's Medicare Summit in 2009, where he unveiled his U.S. Budget Proposal to the pharmaceutical industry for the first time.

"We congratulate both Governor Christie and Congressman Ryan," said Sharon Langan, Senior Conference Producer, who invited both to headline the conferences. Ms. Langan noted that CBI is proud to have this caliber of conference speakers who often address conference audiences first with the very issues that become important across the nation and often throughout the world.

Governor Christie and Congressman Ryan were among Facebook's Seth Zuckerberg, Vice President Joe Biden, Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey in Time Magazine's "The World's Most Influential People."
