Carolina Men's Clinic Encourages Patients to Support Kids First of the Carolinas, Offers Discounts to Those Who Donate New Toys

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The Carolina Men's Clinic (http://thecarolinamensclinic.com/) understands the importance of giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season. Through December 18, everyone who brings a new toy worth $25 or more to the clinic will receive $100 off their visit. This year's toy donations are part of WBT 1110 AM radio's "Hey Kid! It's Santa!" campaign. All donated toys will be distributed to local children through Kids First of the Carolinas (http://www.kidsfirstofthecarolinas.org/), a 501(c)3 organization.

"During the holidays, it's important for us to think about our friends and neighbors who are less fortunate. Many families struggle to make ends meet and therefore can't give their children presents for Christmas," commented Matt Gillogly, director of the Carolina Men's Clinic. "We want to make sure that every child in the Carolinas wakes up with toys on December 25. These are children who might not have a Christmas at all without the generous support of Kids First in the Carolinas and its partners. The Carolina Men's Clinic is proud to contribute to this noble work."

Kids First of the Carolinas is a grassroots nonprofit organization whose goal is to make the community a better, happier place for all children. Founded by two area mothers and managed entirely by volunteers, Kids First has for 20 years helped local children and families burdened by the effects of poverty. Last year, the organization helped put presents under the tree for over 700 children in the Carolinas. Meanwhile, WBT 1110 AM radio is asking area residents to catch the holiday spirit by sponsoring a needy child or dropping a toy off at the Kids First Store.

Because the organization receives no government funding, Kids First of the Carolinas relies on the community's generosity to fulfill its mission. In addition to the Christmas toy drive, Kids First also provides holiday meals to families on Thanksgiving and Easter, connects children with tutors to support their academic achievement, and collects school supplies, clothes, furniture and appliances that underprivileged families could not otherwise afford. The Carolina Men's Clinic joins Audi of Charlotte as major sponsors of Hey Kid! It's Santa! and Kids First of the Carolinas.

To reach its goal of collecting at least 300 toys, the Carolina Men's Clinic is trimming its normal $199 office fee for those who bring a new, unwrapped toy with them to the Lake Norman or South Charlotte locations. Everyone who takes advantage of this opportunity to help their community will receive the same professional care and same ironclad guarantee that Carolina Men's Clinic extends to all of its patients.

The Carolina Men's Clinic wants to give thanks to the community for making 2014 a year worth celebrating. In November, the clinic opened a new location in Mooresville, giving men in Charlotte and the surrounding region three convenient choices for consultation and treatment of every major sexual health issue.
