Free Preview of both channels available for all Shaw Cable customers until January 5
CALGARY, Canada, Dec. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — International Media Distribution (IMD) and Shaw Communications Inc. today announced the addition of Beijing TV and Hunan TV to Shaw's selection of Mandarin-language television channels. Available today, Shaw Cable customers will now have access to quality lifestyle and entertainment programming from two of China's most popular networks. A free preview of both channels is also available throughout the holidays until Tuesday, January 5.

Beijing TV and Hunan TV are available to Shaw Cable customers as an add-on to their existing Mandarin pack subscriptions or an individual pick-and-pay basis for those customers who subscribe to Talentvision.
Canada is home to almost 1.5 million people of Chinese ancestry, many of whom reside in Shaw Cable service areas. Chinese Canadians make up the largest Asian segment in the country.
The new channels will be available throughout most of British Columbia, Alberta and other Shaw service areas throughout Western Canada. Channel descriptions below:
Beijing TV (BTV), Channel 552
Beijing TV is a Chinese channel in Mandarin, focused on the greater Beijing area offering viewers high quality programming on culture, history, travel, and entertainment. Popular programs including "Health Preservation," "Perfect Food," "Archives," and "Beijing News."
Hunan TV (HTV), Channel 553
Hunan TV is a leading Chinese general entertainment channel in Mandarin with a focus on city living, entertainment, fashion, galas and reality shows. Popular programs including "Take Me Out," "Day Day Up," and "Happy Camp."
