Avioserv San Diego, Inc. Appoints New Engine Sourcing and Technical Executives

Positions of Vice President – Engine Sourcing and Manager – Technical Operations filled by seasoned industry veterans

DALLAS, Aug. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Avioserv San Diego, Inc. ("Avioserv"), a leading aerospace entity focused on the sales, trading, consignment and leasing of commercial jet engines, and aircraft and engine parts, announced today the hiring of Kevin F. Kelly as Vice President – Engine Sourcing and Shane Stringfellow as Manager – Technical Operations. Kelly brings more than three decades of industry experience in the areas of engine and aircraft sourcing, operations, and asset remarketing while Stringfellow brings over twenty years of industry experience in the areas of Technical Operations and Quality Management. Kelly and Stringfellow will be working closely with the executive team at Avioserv in San Diego and will be opening a new Avioserv office in the Dallas area.

Prior to joining Avioserv, Kelly worked for many years in the aviation community at companies such as TPI Aviation Ltd, GE Aircraft Engines (GE Aviation Materials), Tradewinds Aircraft and Engine Services and most recently as the Senior Vice President, Commercial Engines & Aircraft Division at CT Aerospace. Shane Stringfellow's expertise rests in the Technical Operations and Quality Management side of the aviation industry. His work history consists of experience with companies such as AAR, GE On Wing Support, GE Aviation Materials and lastly at CT Aerospace as the Director of Quality, Operations & Technical Services.

Avioserv was founded in 1994 as Willis Aeronautical Services, Inc. (WASI). It was acquired by SR Technics in 2000, and renamed Avioserv San Diego, Inc. in 2001. Since 2001, Avioserv has transitioned from a parts broker to a preferred supplier of serviceable lease engines and engine parts for airlines, airline shops, MROs and other part vendors worldwide.

In March 2007, Avioserv was acquired by Vintage Fund Management, a private equity firm based in Los Angeles, California
