AuthorHouse Presents 'Two Brothers and Me': A Touching Story About the Relationship Between Brothers and Sisters

DILLARD, Ga., Aug. 10, 2009 — When a baby girl is born, she is immediately thrust into a little pink world full of bows and ruffles and sparkles. Yet what happens to this world when she grows up along two rough and tumble brothers, boys through and through? Author Sheri Garland York explores the relationship between brothers and sister in her debut children's book, "Two Brothers and Me" (published by AuthorHouse).

"Two Brothers and Me" follows the young lives of a little girl and her two older brothers, based on the three (now grown) children of Garland York.

"This is a glimpse of their childhood and the closeness between all three," Garland York says. "I got the title idea because my daughter didn't call them by their names — she simply called them 'brothers.'"

The book is relatable to little sisters ("Crawling, I played with dolls. They played with cars. Two brothers and me.") and big brothers ("Two big wheels zoom down the hill with one little girl squealing behind. Two brothers and me.") everywhere.

Garland York hopes other families enjoy the theme of family and closeness and use "Two Brothers and Me" to create their own family memories.
