Heather Sonnenberg Company Profile

"Necessity is the mother of invention," couldn't have been truer about how the Cub Co-Z Convertible Carrier, and subsequently Lil' Cub Hub, was created. After my first son was born, I was overwhelmed with baby products. When I would go out to run a quick errand with him, I would take a lot of items that I felt were necessary in any circumstance — a bottle, diaper, wipes, toy or pacifier, change of outfit, etc. I would also bring an infant car seat, a baby carrier, or a stroller. In addition, I still needed my own personal necessities, such as my ID, credit card, cash, keys and a cell phone. Inevitably, I found myself overloaded with all the items I needed to bring and consequently had to bring a baby carrier, my purse AND a diaper bag! My "quick" errand turned into me lugging around enough gear to fill a few suitcases, I saw other moms (and dads) in the stores doing the exact same thing. I found myself wishing that all these products has a few additional features on them or that I could just make a few adjustments. I often found myself thinking, "How can these products function better so they can make my life easier!? This led me to develop the Cub Co-Z Convertible Carrier. The project started in my living room with remnants of fabric, a hot glue gun, safety pins, and whatever I could find around the house that would create a solution to the challenges I faced when taking my son on an outing. I was so passionate about the Cub Co-Z that I left my career in the financial services industry to pursue this venture full time. I spent more than a year developing and testing my prototypes, carrying my son around in them, and perfecting each new version of the product until I had THE solution to fit my needs as a mom on the go. The end result is a product that I feel offers the ability to easily bring everything a mom and child need to 'run errands' without all of the bulk and unnecessary items. The Cub Co-Z is a diaper bag that carries the essentials and can convert into a sling-style baby carrier in just one zip. You will have easy access to everything you need: bottle carrier, credit card and ID holder, key fob, cell phone, changing pad, wipe and diaper holder, and additional room for a change of clothes for your little one. The Cub Co-Z is the ONE item you need when you leave the house with your Lil' Cub! My passion for being a Mom and creating the Cub Co-Z led me to form my company, Lil' Cub Hub. I have since expanded my product line to include superior-quality baby and toddler apparel, as well as minky bibs, burp cloths and blankets. This is an exciting adventure and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to provide high-quality and stylish solutions to the baby and children's industry.
