When we started out, it was all about how do we cut out the expensive high street prices for contact lenses and solutions, while providing the widest range and the fastest deliveries, all at the same time as minimizing the inconvenience of prescription checking. And that’s what we did for the last nine years. But as we got bigger we noticed something. We found that our customers valued us for something else. They valued us because we treated them like customers, not like patients. They valued the way our call centre knew more about lenses and lens care than the receptionist at their opticians and the valued how we listened. Our customers also loved that we are founded by opticians who are always on hand to answer any medical questions about their eyes. And we became the biggest independent online lens company. We still have discount contact lenses. We still think we have the largest range of stock and the fastest delivery times. But we think there’s something more.
