“Think Asia, Think Hong Kong” Targets U.S. Business

High-Profile Additions to Next Month's Hong Kong Promotion in New York and Los Angeles

The campaign will take place next month, featuring major symposiums in New York and Los Angeles, June 11 and June 14 respectively.

Selling America in Asia

Think Asia, Think Hong Kong will showcase Hong Kong's advantages for American companies looking to sell their products and services in Asia, particularly on the Chinese mainland.

Nearly 2,000 U.S. corporate leaders, government officials, heads of small and medium-sized enterprises, services providers, academics and opinion leaders with a special interest in Asia are expected to attend.

The Honourable CY Leung, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR Government, will lead a Think Asia, Think Hong Kong delegation of more than 140 senior business and government leaders to the U.S.

Along with Mr Bird and Mr Sanchez, who will speak only in New York, more than 50 high-powered players from Hong Kong, mainland China and the U.S. will speak at Think Asia, Think Hong Kong. Spotlighting Asian Opportunities

Along with the New York and Los Angeles symposiums, Think Asia, Think Hong Kong will feature a number of thematic sessions in each city. These will explore partnership opportunities in trade, technology and Chinese outbound investment. In addition, a spotlight on renminbi business prospects will take place in New York while, in Los Angeles, a special focus on helping the US entertainment business expand in Asia will be offered.

Hong Kong Dinner in New York

HKTDC Chairman Jack So will host the inaugural Hong Kong Dinner in New York, June 11, with Hong Kong Chief Executive CY Leung as the evening's special guest of honour. More than 400 business and political leaders from Hong Kong and the U.S. are expected to attend the gala dinner.

On the Business Road

In addition, five senior Hong Kong business missions, ranging from technology to fashion and fine food and wine will visit New York, Los Angeles and other U.S. cities in June. They will include a Hong Kong-Guangdong joint investment mission looking at opportunities in green technology and manufacturing in general.
