Third Annual Dallas Tennis Classic ATP Challenger Event Launches Holiday Ticket Promotion to Announce Return to Four Seasons Dallas at Las Colinas in 2014

DALLAS, Nov. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Tennis fans throughout the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth area can celebrate the return of the Dallas Tennis Classic in March 2014. The Challenger tournament is a prime warm-up for the Sony Open in Miami and will feature some of the top names on the ATP World Tour with $125,000 in prize money.

This is the third annual tournament and has quickly garnered the attention of the top ranked players in the world. With a 32-player singles draw and 16-team doubles draw, the intimate atmosphere makes it ideal for fans to get close to their favorite players and to share in a unique tennis experience.

The tournament opens on March 10, 2014 and will conclude with what promises to be a riveting final on March 16. Nestled between the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California and the Sony Open in Miami, both of which are mandatory for ATP Top 50-ranked players, the Dallas Tennis Classic is ideally suited for players who want to showcase their talents and fine-tune their game before reaching Florida.

Now through the end of 2013, the Dallas Tennis Classic is offering an unbeatable holiday special on tickets for the tournament. Fans can purchase their 2014 tickets at 2013 prices. Dallas Tennis Classic Tournament Director Zoltan Papp said, "This is our third year to have this event in Dallas, and to encourage our loyal fans to come out for a week of elite tennis we are pleased to offer a first-ever holiday ticket promotion. Since the Dallas Tennis Classic takes place during the week of spring break, we are hoping that families will take advantage of this discounted ticket offer and plan to spend their vacation time with us."

The Dallas Tennis Classic will be held at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas. The tournament kicks off Monday, March 10th with qualifying rounds where fans are encouraged to come out and watch the players in action for free. There will be some important changes to this year's tournament that should be noted, too. Starting times for the main draw matches will be 1pm, as opposed to the old starting time of 11am. Guests will also be able to enjoy night matches this year from Tuesday through Friday.

On Saturday, March 15th, eight professional tennis clubs throughout the region will be able to showcase one of their own pros in a short format match. This will be a great way to promote tennis at the local level while competing on a national stage. On Championship Sunday morning, the SMU men's tennis team will compete in a college dual match. This will be another enjoyable start to what promises to be an exciting conclusion to the tournament.

Tickets for this professional tennis event will be available through the tournament's official website, www.dallastennisclassic.com.
