Announcing Call For Entries To Honor Those Who Serve The Disabled Community

June 15th, 2014 deadline to respond with nominations for candidates to be included among those honored in a new book entitled, Unsung to Unstoppable.

DENVER, April 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Announcing the call for entries for Unsung to Unstoppable: The world's largest minority makes a difference. Unsung to Unstoppable is a book designed to recognize and celebrate individuals and organizations that have made an impact on the lives of people with disabilities. Project organizers invite national and local organizations that serve the community of people with disabilities to nominate up to two candidates (or organizations) to be included among those honored. Nominations for inclusion in this non-profit publication are free, and must be received by June 15th, 2014. Visit unsungtounstoppable.org for more information or to download a submission form.

"Through our volunteer board participation, we realized that many individuals who do remarkable things for the community of people with disabilities are never recognized," notes Chris Silberman, Executive Director for Phamaly Theatre Company. "With this book, we hope to celebrate this community and these individuals and help the general public re-envision disabilities."

The Unsung to Unstoppable project was conceived by members of the Phamaly Theatre Company board, in part to commemorate the company's 25th anniversary. Phamaly is a professional theatre company that exclusively features actors with disabilities across the spectrum. Nominations for candidates to be recognized in the book will be accepted through June 15th, 2014. Candidate selection and content development will continue through summer of 2014, with a tentative book publication later this year. Organizations and individuals wishing to participate in this celebration of unstoppable achievement are invited to visit unsungtounstoppable.org for more information.
