Barnhart Makes Big Move in Illinois

CHICAGO, Aug. 4, 2011 — Barnhart Crane & Rigging has improved its ability to serve its customers in Illinois and the greater Midwest. Barnhart's Chicago Area Branch has moved 50 miles east from Ottawa to its new location in Channahon, IL. "Our new site offers many advantages. We think those benefits will be quickly realized by our customers," said Matt Brennan, Chicago Branch Manager. Brennan says the most obvious benefit will be the branch's more centralized, convenient geography. "We are now within just a few miles of some of the region's biggest industrial sites. It goes without saying, but Northern Illinois and the Three Rivers area is vital to the economy. We hope to play a role in the strengthening of that economy."

Additionally, the new branch will have 72,000 sq. feet of industrial warehousing and storage capacity available, rail spurs, and access to water for heavy equipment barging. Also, the new site will have increased capabilities to perform machinery moving projects, and will have access to one of the largest heavy rigging and heavy lifting inventories in the U.S.

Barnhart Crane & Rigging, established in 1969, is a leading national supplier of heavy lifting and transportation solutions. The company, with 23 locations across the United State, also provides logistics, machinery moving and plant relocations. Barnhart's Quality Management System is certified to the ISO 9001:2008 international standard and has been registered since 2000.
