The role is a natural fit for Nancarrow, who has stood out for years among TV weather personalities, preferring a more serious activist role and often speaking out on environmental issues of the day such as climate change and how the San Diego region has the ability to be a model of a large urban population coexisting with the natural wealth of the area.
