Veteran Los Angeles Team of Mark O'Brien and Matthew Renshaw Join Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance

Longtime Partners to Spearhead Launch of New Downtown Los Angeles Office; Office Specialists Boost Downtown Los Angeles Presence for Rapidly Expanding National Brokerage Firm

LOS ANGELES, May 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Coldwell Banker Commercial (CBC) Alliance, a national real estate services firm headquartered in New York City, announced that the team of Matthew Renshaw and Mark O'Brien have joined as Managing Principals and will be responsible for the expansion of the new Downtown Los Angeles office for the firm.

Both professionals grew up in California and boast substantial commercial transactional real estate expertise, having most recently served for several decades in Downtown Los Angeles for CBRE. The team has transacted over 9,000,000 RSF of lease and sale transactions over the course of their careers.

The new Downtown office will augment CBC Alliance's established presence in both Glendale and Orange County. The Glendale office for CBC Alliance remains under the leadership of Bill Ukropina, Greg Barsamian and George Issaians. The office has 21 brokers representing the commercial real estate needs of small and midsize companies throughout the very active and growth oriented San Fernando Valley.

About Mark O'Brien

After first working at a boutique real estate company and later running his own property management firm, Mr. O'Brien joined CBRE in 1996 and remained there for almost twenty years until this move to CBC Alliance. He has primarily worked as an office tenant representative and is a subject matter expert in the telecommunications and datacenter market, representing companies such as Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. He has also represented building ownerships over the course of his career, including 707 Wilshire and the US Bank Tower in Downtown Los Angeles.  Mr. O'Brien is married and has three children, and holds a BA in Business-Economics from California State University Fullerton.

Mr. Renshaw initially worked in the software industry in San Francisco and then launched his successful brokerage career when he joined CBRE in Los Angeles in 2000. He remained there for almost 15 years, focusing on office transactions in Downtown Los Angeles and the surrounding cities during his tenure, while forging strong relationships with landlords and tenants throughout the marketplace. His clients have included recognized brands and institutions such as Union Bank of California, Verizon, GMAC, Bank One and the State of California. Mr. Renshaw graduated from Stanford University as an English Literature major in 1997.
