WorldWide CORE Radio: A New Concept in the Media Industry

Lenise Wilson is looking to expand her Internet station into a multi-faceted global business

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Lenise Wilson of Southfield, Mich., is already running a highly successful Internet radio station (WorldWide CORE Radio) that has a fan base of 150,000 listeners and is growing daily. Instead of resting on her laurels, however, she is committed to making this business a multi-faceted dynamo in the industry.

"We want to be much more than a radio station," said Wilson, WorldWide CORE's CEO. "We want to provide a platform for up-and-coming artists of all genres to gain experience and exposure. We want to be in a position to provide all levels of service for the entertainer."

WorldWide CORE Radio is currently housed in a small office in Southfield, about 15 miles northwest of Detroit. The current plan is to move into a 3,000-square-foot suite in the same building, completely restructuring the business offices, studio and operational processes. With a new facility, WorldWide CORE could then expand its media offerings to include video, television and film.

In addition, Wilson's vision for WorldWide CORE Radio includes education and training programs. "We also strive to impact our community by providing opportunities and training to all individuals who would like to learn the business of radio, studio engineering and videography," explained Wilson.

The estimated cost for this expansion and restructuring is $25,000. In order to generate this capital, Wilson has launched a Kickstarter campaign that can be viewed at www.kickstarter.com/projects/1674959346/worldwide-core-e-plan. There is also a campaign at Indiegogo at www.indiegogo.com/projects/worldwide-core-radio-e-plan.

WorldWide CORE Radio is seeking financial assistance not only from the local community but from anyone who wants to support the station's philosophy. "Through radio, video and television, we have the capability to showcase and promote talent from anywhere in the world to audiences anywhere in the world," said Wilson.

Donations of any amount are welcome. For contributors who donate $25, WorldWide CORE Radio will send a desk set that includes a station-branded pen, notepad and postcard. Perks for higher donation levels include baseball caps, T-shirts, commercial time on WorldWide CORE and on-air interviews.

"We're striving to create a state-of-the art-facility so we can accomplish our goals," Wilson said. "WorldWide CORE Radio can touch every market in the world at the same time, through a PC, laptop, tablet or our mobile app."
