451 Research Announces 8th Annual Hosting & Cloud Transformation Summit – North America

Summit to Focus on High Stakes of IT Infrastructure Market, Strategies for Success

NEW YORK, July 26, 2012 — 451 Research, a division of The 451 Group focused on the business of enterprise IT innovation, announced today that its eight annual Hosting & Cloud Transformation Summit – North America (HCTS-NA) will once again convene in Las Vegas. The event, which will take place September 18-20 at the Aria Resort, has become North America's go-to convergence event for the Internet Infrastructure, colocation and third-party services industry. Over 700 IT executives, cloud decision-makers, vendors and investors will be in attendance.

This year's theme "Raising the Stakes" will focus on the competition among managed data center and hosting services providers and their strategies for market share. The managed datacenter and hosting services business pot is huge and multiple players are competing for a share. However, no single strategy has emerged as the sure-fire winner. "There are bets all over the table and at this year's HCTS NA, thought leaders from 451 Research and from key players in the industry will come together to discuss and debate where we are and where we are headed," said Simon Carruthers, 451 Research Executive Vice President and HCTS NA Conference Chair.

Topics to be discussed at HCTS-NA include:

  • Enterprise and SME Customers: What do they want?
  • Managed Hosting in the cloud era
  • Cloud Brokering and on-Ramps
  • PaaS: What is the business model?
  • Colocation 2.0: Modular and efficiency as competitive weapons
  • Funding, valuations, and exits
  • Uncorking the network bottleneck: The impact of orchestration and virtualization
  • Security and DevOps: Table stakes of doing business?
  • Data Management as a Service
  • Big Data: Off-Premise opportunities

Participation in the event includes perspective from the industry's top thought leaders and peers. In addition, Mike Brown, the renowned astronomer and author of How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming, will be a guest speaker and will discuss his discovery of Eris, the largest object found in the solar system in 150 years.

To attend HCTS-NA you may register by clicking here. Special early-bird rates are available through August 3rd.
