2016 Association President of National Behavioral Intervention Team Association is Aaron "Chip" Reese

MALVERN, Pa., Nov. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The National Behavioral Intervention Team Association (NaBITA) takes great pleasure in announcing the selection of Dr. Aaron Reese to serve as NaBITA's 2016 President.

NaBITA Executive Director Brett A. Sokolow, Esq. said, "Chip's nomination was unanimously approved by our Board of Advisors at the annual conference in early November.  We are very excited that he will be taking the helm of our growing organization, and look forward to continued success under his leadership.  Chip is a leader in the field of behavioral intervention and threat assessment, and has contributed much to NaBITA during his years of membership and service on the board."

Dr. Reese currently serves at the Dean of Students at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA.  He will succeed Brian Van Brunt, Ed.D., who will serve NaBITA as president in 2015.  Dr. Van Brunt also serves as the Senior Vice President for Professional Program Development for The NCHERM Group, LLC, the umbrella organization for NaBITA.

NaBITA brings together professionals from multiple disciplines who are engaged in the essential function of behavioral intervention in schools and on college campuses for mutual support and shared learning.  Whether it is to combat bullying, prevent violence, support individuals with disabilities, empower the success of those suffering from mental health challenges, or assist those who are in crisis, its members are joined in common purpose and exploration of best practices.
