St. Louis-based Startup, FanzLive, Wins Weekly National Competition

Dream Big America Announces Contestants For January 14th Show Will Be iWinks, Medefy, and Try the World

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Dream Big America, the first-ever live nationally syndicated radio show pitting startup business ventures against each other, and broadcast on Doug Stephan's Good Day Show each Tuesday at 9:10 am ET, announced today that this week's winner is FanzLive (www.FanzLive.com) from St. Louis, Missouri.

FanzLive is a mobile application to support micro communities and engage fans built around live sports and music events. Their first customers for these branded apps include Saint Louis University and Anheuser-Busch. FanzLive's two minute pitch was presented by President Tim Murphy. Murphy will continue to the Dream Big America Finals Round on January 28th to compete for the prize package.

"In this time of the supposed 'app bubble', it's exciting to find entrepreneurs that are able to monetize their product," said show host Doug Stephan. "FanzLive has not only developed a great product, but they have created a business model for success."

Next week's contestants, iWinks, Medefy, and Try the World, cover a wide span of industries.

iWinks (www.iWinks.org), presented by founder Daniel Schoonover, helps people get the most out of their sleep and dreams with cutting-edge wearable technology that allows users to enhance their lucid dreams. iWinks is based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Medefy (www.Medefy.com), presented by co-founder and CEO Matt Scovil, is a mobile app that helps users with heath insurance find the best priced healthcare in their cities. Medefy is based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Finally, Try the World (www.TryTheWorld.com), presented by co-founders Kat and David, is a subscription service to receive culture-rich, gourmet sampling boxes from cities around the world like Paris, Tokyo, and Rio. Try the World is based out of New York, New York.

Dream Big America airs each Tuesday at 9:10am to 9:40am ET on Doug Stephan's Good Day Program (www.DougStephan.com), syndicated to over 500 markets across the United States with a weekly listening audience of 3.5 million. In addition to being broadcast on the radio, the Dream Big America Show can be heard via live podcast on the DreamBigAmerica.us website.

The Dream Big America Show features three entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas for two minutes each, followed by an expert panelist who offers feedback and suggestions. Voting begins immediately after the show at 10:00am ET and continues for 28 hours.
