In terms of affordability, Fort Hays State University of Hays, Kansas leads the group at an estimated $23,126 for four years of full-time, out-of-state tuition. Western Governors University of Salt Lake City, Utah came in second with tuition totaling $25,630, and Troy University of Troy, Alabama came in third at $39,120.
All schools in the ranking offer online programs from accredited, nonprofit colleges and universities with objectively lower than average tuition cost. Programs were ranked according to their affordability based on current out-of-state tuition rates.
