Nancy Lieberman Foundation Continues to Make Dreams Come True for Today's Youth with Third Annual Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital Dream Ball Presented by WorldVentures Foundation and Albertsons

DALLAS, March 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The Nancy Lieberman Foundation promotes athletic and educational programming for youth at its third annual Dream Ball charity event at the Omni Hotel in Dallas on Thursday, April 17, 2014. Lead sports anchor for TXA 21, Steve Dennis, will welcome VIP guests at a red carpet event beginning at 6 p.m.

Guests will enjoy dinner and conversation with numerous sports celebrities from across the country as they support many of the Foundation's initiatives that are pivotal in empowering children to realize and achieve their dreams. These programs include: educational and basketball scholarships, backpacks and laptop programs, as well as DreamCourt projects.

"Thanks to the funds raised at our annual gala, hundreds of children have the opportunities to achieve their dreams," said Nancy Lieberman, Founder of The Nancy Lieberman Foundation. "Not every child has the same opportunities in life. We are committed to providing deserving youth with the resources they need to lead promising lives. This is possible through the generous support of our corporate partners, community business leaders, and friends that allow us to impact the next generation and ensure they have the tools to succeed on the court and in the classroom."

The Nancy Lieberman Foundation will recognize and honor world record holder and legendary swimmer Diana Nyad as the Inspirational Award recipient at this year's Dream Ball. Diana will speak at the event and share her story of courage and perseverance.

Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital have been proud to serve as the title sponsor of The Nancy Lieberman Foundation Gala for the past three years. "We're honored to be a part of the Foundation's important work to transform children's lives through education and basketball," said Nancy Vish, President/Chief Nursing Officer at Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital. "We're proud to partner with organizations that invest in programs which help children develop the life skills they need to be successful and where children are given the tools of hope, and the opportunity to thrive."

In partnership with presenting sponsor WorldVentures Foundation, The Nancy Lieberman Foundation has partnered with the NCAA and Big 12 Conference in providing funding to build a 11th DreamCourt for the Boys and Girls Club in Arlington before the weekend of the Final Four. DreamCourts provide children with a tremendous opportunity to enjoy basketball, interact socially, and learn important lessons about teamwork and good sportsmanship within a safe environment.
