MetricStream CEO Shellye Archambeau to Receive Prestigious NCWIT Symons Innovator Award

The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) will present the prestigious Symons Innovator Award to Shellye Archambeau

Named after Jeanette Symons, founder of Industrious Kid, Zhone Technologies, and Ascend Communications, the NCWIT Symons Innovator Award recognizes women IT entrepreneurs who have successfully built and supported an IT business. The award seeks to promote women's participation in information technology, inspire others to pursue IT entrepreneurship, and increase awareness about the importance of women's participation in IT innovation and business.

The prestigious award will be presented to Ms. Archambeau at an awards ceremony at Andreessen Horowitz in Menlo Park on July 23rd, 2015. During the event, NCWIT CEO and Co-Founder Lucy Sanders will provide an overview on the landscape of women in technology and innovation, including the current status of women's participation, the momentous growth of K-12 computer science education, and research findings on the benefits of diversity.

Ms. Shellye Archambeau, CEO of MetricStream, a Silicon Valley-based global leader in Governance, Risk, and Compliance Apps, also currently serves on the board of directors for Verizon Communications, Nordstrom, Watermark, and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.
