Stomach cancer is the fourth most common cancer worldwide and the second leading cancer killer. Approximately 21,000 people are diagnosed with stomach cancer in the United States every year and 10,000 will die within the same year.

Debbie Zelman founded the organization in 2009 after being diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer. Debbie's Dream Foundation seeks as its ultimate goal to bring attention and action to this important cause. The organization encourages people to spread the word about early detection and screening because if someone is diagnosed at an early stage, the chances of being cured increase dramatically.
