Currently, Native American Telecom, LLC ("NAT"), a tribally-owned telecommunications company, provides fixed broadband and telephone service in the Fort Thompson community on the Crow Creek reservation to more than 150 customers. TazcaConnects will enable NAT to greatly expand its coverage and services on the Crow Creek reservation. Specifically, tribal members will benefit from fixed wireless and mobile broadband service, along with mobile roaming, distance learning, tele-medicine, and other advanced communications services, throughout the entire Crow Creek reservation.

Brandon Sazue, Chairman of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe, states that "This is another historic step in the evolution of the Crow Creek Sioux by embracing new technology to better serve our people, who often find themselves without access to many of the basic necessities most people in the U.S take for granted, like food, shelter, heating, and communications."

"It's a pleasure to be chosen by the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe and NAT given their status as one of only 10 tribally owned telecommunications companies in the United States," said Michael Sisto, Vice President Sales, TazcaConnects.   "As a leader in providing affordable Rural LTE services, Tazca looks forward to working with NAT and expanding upon their broadband services offered to tribal members and residents in the Fort Thompson area of Crow Creek reservation," Sisto added.

To date, NAT's innovative services have included an Internet Library and Technology Center providing free computer and Internet access services on the Crow Creek reservation, along with educational and technology training to increase digital literacy and usage of communications technologies.  By deploying the TazcaConnects 4G LTE-as-a-Service Broadband Solutions, NAT is taking the next step in bringing the benefits of technology to the Crow Creek reservation.
