Autonomic Resources Provides Unauthorized Cloud Vendors an Express Lane to FedRAMP Authorization

Cloud Service Providers without Authority to Operate can utilize Autonomic Resources to gain compliance after the June 5 deadline.

CARY, N.C., June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Federal cloud vendors' deadline for FedRAMP authorization has arrived. As of June 5, 2014, Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) serving government agencies without a FedRAMP Authority to Operate (ATO), will be out-of-compliance with the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB's) federal cloud security mandate. For those still unauthorized cloud vendors, Autonomic Resources, a government-only CSP, offers a short-cut to compliance with their FedRAMP Express offering.

Autonomic Resources has pioneered the federal cloud computing industry, acquiring the first ATOs from the FedRAMP JAB (December 2012) and Department of Defense's DISA Enterprise Cloud Service Broker (April 2013), for their ARC-P IaaS cloud solution. Drawing from their extensive federal cloud compliance experience, Autonomic Resources has built FedRAMP Express. This service offering, previously known as FedRAMP Re-Platforming, aids cloud vendors seeking to quickly and efficiently authorize SaaS solutions under FedRAMP or DoD requirements. FedRAMP Express provides vendors two options on the path to compliance.

  1. Autonomic can provide the authorized FedRAMP and DoD IaaS platforms for vendors to move software solutions, thus meeting agency requirements of running SaaS from an authorized cloud.
  2. Autonomic can provide the underlying authorized IaaS platforms, while also guiding and assisting vendors through the process of obtaining their own FedRAMP and DoD authorizations for the entire software stack they deliver to federal agencies.

Thus far, two SaaS providers have successfully achieved FedRAMP ATOs for their solutions by leveraging ARC-P IaaS as a part of the FedRAMP Express offering. EconSys' FHR Navigator and Concurrent Technologies Corporation's Unclassified Remote Hosted Desktops (URHD) have received authorizations by leveraging ARC-P. Both authorizations were achieved in half the time and at a significantly lower cost than if they had pursued a FedRAMP without the help of ARC-P.

With ARC-P IaaS costs lower than even the largest of public cloud service providers, Autonomic's un-paralleled customer service, and their complete understanding of the FedRAMP authorization process, it is no surprise Autonomic Resources is helping a growing number of vendor solutions re-platform to meet OMB mandates.
